Halloween is coming soon! Tochigi YMCA English is now preparing for Halloween week, and we need some Halloween books to read for young children. Tochigi YMCA takes part in “Amazon Minna de Ouen Program”, which Amazon Japan engaged as one of their social contribution activities. There is a special webpage in the Amazon Japan website, where “requested items” are listed by Tochigi YMCA. If you visit there and purchase the items from the list, these items will be delivered to Tochigi YMCA directly.

とちぎYMCAイングリッシュでは、今週から夏休み明けのクラスがスタートしました。宇都宮、宇都宮東、那須、各校の教室にも、すっかり日焼けした生徒の皆さんの笑顔が戻ってきて、“How was your summer?　Did you have fun with your family and friends? Where did you go?”の問いかけに、ちょっぴり恥ずかしそうに、でもとっても嬉しそうに答えてくれています。夏休みの宿題だった「英語絵日記」もみんなばっちり！たくさんの夏の思い出が届いています。

そして、幼児英語の年長クラスではたくさんPhonicsの練習をしてきてくれたお友だちがいました。年長クラスでは、宿題としてPhonics Mini Bookをお渡ししています。毎週１音ずつ習った音の文字をノートに貼っていき、おうちで練習した回数だけスタンプやシールを貼ってきて頂いています。

そして、夏休み明けにミニブックを見せていただいてびっくり！！

こんなにたくさん練習してきてくれていました。Practice makes perfect. ですね、着実に力をつけていらっしゃいます。そして、ご家庭での保護者の皆さまのサポートにも心より感謝申し上げます。生徒の皆さんの努力に、スタッフの私たちも襟を正し、気を引き締められた夏休み明けとなりました。秋からも張り切っていきましょう！

とちぎYMCAイングリッシュでは、2022年度10月に実施される英検（実用英語技能検定）に向けて、対策講座を予定しております。受験級に合わせてコースが分かれていますので、詳細につきましては掲載チラシをご覧頂きぜひご検討ください。目標に向けて一緒に頑張りましょう！皆様のご参加をお待ちしております。

Here's a new train that you can enjoy getting on! In May, we will sing the "Train Song" which everyone likes! Would you like to try this new vehicle of LRT? みなさんが大好きな"Train Song"用に新しい車両を準備しました！来年開通予定のLRTです！乗りに来てくださいね～♪We hope everyone can feel relaxed and enjoy singing songs, moving your bodies to the music, making craft, and participating in a story telling time. Let's have fun together!

Hello, everyone!　とちぎYMCAイングリッシュでは、宇都宮と那須において英語でクリスマス会を行いました。沢山の生徒の皆さんにご参加を頂き誠にありがとうございました。那須では当日雪が降り"White Christmas"となり、お越し頂くのも大変な方もおられたかと思います。保護者の皆さまにもご協力を頂き誠にありがとうございました。

Tochigi YMCA English had a special Christmas event on December 11th at Utsunomiya YMCA, and we had it on December 18th at Nasu YMCA, as well!  Thank you very much for participating our special events! We had so much fun having many students participated in it for these two days.

YMCA English teachers introduced many fun activities such as Christmas tree decorating race, flipping cards game, singing Christmas songs, learning words of Christmas and making elf craft. At the end of the program, a YMCA Santa Claus visited us and gave Christmas presents for the students.

This weekend, on the night of Christmas Eve, Santa Claus will visit each child’s house to deliver special presents. We hope all the children have a warm and happy Christmas with their friends and families. May your Christmas be blessed with love, and may this holiday be full of light and laughter for you!
